Acquired as one of a pair by Mrs. Charles Wrightsman from a dealer in Versailles, and reputedly originally from the château de Versailles.
Installed in the entrance hall of her residence Blythedunes, Palm Beach.
A gift from Mrs. Charles Wrightsman to the present owner.
