GRANDE STATUE DE BOUDDHA AMIDA EN BOIS LAQUE DORE
JAPON, PREMIERE MOITIE DE L'EPOQUE EDO (1603-1868)
Il est représenté debout sur un socle lotiforme et auréolé d'une large mandorle sculptée de nuages stylisés.
Ses mains sont en vitarkamudra. Il porte une longue robe monastique brodée formant d'harmonieux plis. Son visage aux yeux baissés sous des sourcils arqués dégage une expression sereine.
