Lot Essay

Rosie Lloyd and her cousin Bella Orchard, known professionally as the Sisters Lloyd, were a music-hall act of the late 1880s. The troup then became three when Bella married the boxer Dick Burge and Rosie was joined by her two older sisters Gracie and Alice. Gracie married and gave up the stage and Alice and Rosie both began solo careers. They finally united with their sister Daisy and Rosie's daughter, Marie Lloyd Junior, as the Lloyd Family during the 1920s, singing the songs that they had individually made famous
