Either Castor or Pollux is depicted nude, standing with weight on his left leg, the right bent at the knee, with his left arm lowered, the right held out to the side with the attributes now lost. His musculature is finely modeled, with his head turned to his right. Wavy locks emerge from beneath his conical pilos, framing his face and falling along his neck. For a related bronze figure, see no. 92 in A. Hermary, “Dioskouri,” LIMC, vol. III.
