A CHICKEN BONE JADE 'ZODIAC ANIMALS' BOWL
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The bowl is finely-carved to the sides with shaped cartouches, each enclosing two of the twelve zodiac animal figures, between intricate foliate motifs to the rims and sides. The foot rim is embellished with six delicate ruyi-form feet. The stone is of an attractive mottled cream and grey tone.
