« Dans le titre donné à mes peintures, le mot MIRE est employé dans un sens équivoque. Il évoque d'une part "un point de mire" (c'est-à-dire la focalisation du regard sur un point précis dans une étendue continue) et d'autre part l'aspect des choses reflété par un miroir. »
"In the title given to my paintings, the world MIRE is used in an equivocal meaning. It evokes on the one hand a 'focal point' (that is to say, the focus of the gaze on a specific point in a continuous extent) and on the other hand the appearance of things reflected by a mirror."
