Lot Essay

This kind of Famille rose fountains are very rare. The only other example we know is from the Collection of William Martin-Hurst (1876-1941) and published by G.C. Williamson, The Book of Famille Rose, Mayflower Press, Plymouth, William Brenden and Son, Ltd, 1927, plate LXI.
