Le rocher est entièrement sculpté en relief sur les deux côtés de grands pins tortueux, la partie supérieure est inscrite d'un poème de l'empereur Qianlong intitulé 'Le pin Wu Dafu'.

A related lapis lazuli boulder carved with similar decoration in the collection of the Palace Museum, Beijing, is illustrated in Zhongguo Yuqi Quanji - 6 - Qing, Hebei, 1991, p. 180, no. 262, where it is dated middle Qing dynasty.
