GRAND VASE ROULEAU EN PORCELAINE DE LA FAMILLE VERTE
CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, EPOQUE KANGXI (1662-1722)
Reposant sur un petit pied, sa panse est à décor continu d'une scène inspirée de la Chronique des Dynasties Sui et Tang de Luo Guanzhong (circa 1330-1400). Le centre est orné de musiciennes galopant à cheval dans le jardin impérial de l'empereur Yang Guang de la dynastie Sui, l'empereur et ses compagnons observent la scène depuis la terrasse surélevée d'un pavillon. Le col est orné d'enfants jouant dans un jardin.

Lot Essay

It is more unusual to find this design on a vase, as the scene is most often found depicted on dishes. A large pair of 18th century famille rose baluster vases bearing this design was sold at Christie's New York, 25 January 2011, lot 98.
