Original red cloth with gilt elephant medallion on front board, top edge gilt, dust jacket (a little frayed/chipped at edges, tear through back panel and lower spine panel fold repaired with old tape); custom box. Provenance: anonymous owner, Christie's, New York, 9 December 1993, lot 37.
