A BRONZE BOTTLE VASE
17TH CENTURY
The slender neck is cast with a wide geometric band. The base is cast with an inscription in seal script reading da ning chang chen Su Hanchen jian du Jiang shi zhu Zhide tan yong, which may be translated as 'under the supervision of Officer Su Hanchen at the Da Ning workshop, Madame Jiang cast [this item] for the Zhide Altar.'
