Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measuring 35 3/8" long with an impressive total weight of 36.6 oz. Striking example of this imposing club as wielded by "The Beast" showing heavy use including ball marks, stitching impressions, and professionally repaired handle crack with vestiges of period handle tape to the surface. Left barrel features a 16" long area of surface planing with a portion of the Hillerich & Bradbsy Co. factory return writing in grease pencil, "?-20-29". Based on this desirable factory side writing and Foxx's Hillerich & Bradsby Co. bat ordering records we can place the offered bat to the Philadelphia Athletics historic World Championship season of 1929. Foxx remains one of the most imposing batsman in the history of the game collecting 534 home runs and 1,922 RBIs with a career batting average of .325. Very fine game bat from this highly sought after 500 Home Run Club member with special mention as dating to the 1929 World Championship season. Includes LOA from PSA/DNA (GU 8.5): EX
