Lot Essay

Trio of significant line up cards dating to Rose's 3,000th career base hit game played against Steve Rogers and the Montreal Expos. Rose entered the game needing two hits to reach the milestone and promptly collected two singles off of Rogers to enter the elite club. Included in the set as follows: 1) Oversized 8 1/2"x11" card which was used in the Reds dugout to record the game including line up changes in pencil. 2) Cincinnati Reds line up copy as filled out by Sparky Anderson (copy version of original handwritten example). 3) Montreal Expos line up copy as filled out by Dick Williams (copy version of original handwritten example).
