Joe DiMaggio would complete his final MLB regular season on September 30, 1951. He had led the Yankees to another AL pennant and they went on to defeat the New York Giants in the World Series for DiMaggio's ninth World Championship. The regular season finale fittingly saw DiMaggio's Yankees defeat the Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium by a score of 3 to 0. DiMaggio went 1 for 1 and gave way to the young phenom who would take over his position for the next 17 years by the name of Mickey Mantle. Offered is the original New York Yankees line up card from the game with batting order written in pencil including both DiMaggio and Mantle. The line up card is filled out by Casey Stengel and signed at the bottom in pencil, "Stengel". Some minor age toning and edge wear with "Last Game 9/30" written on back in pencil. Original ticket stub remains very clean with excellent color and free of any creasing. Game score printed in small pencil lettering on the back. Unique and historic pair of artifacts relating to the final regular season game of DiMaggio's Hall of Fame career: Lineup Card: Encapsulated by PSA/DNA (Authentic) and includes full LOA from JSA, Ticket Stub: Encapsulated by PSA (3 VG 'MK')
