Handwritten notations on back relay that it was taken during a 1929 exhibition game at Oriole Park and appear to be in Merriken's hand. LeRoy Merriken was with a photographer with the Baltimore Sun from 1924-1980. His focus on sports began with the first image he took of Babe Ruth posing with the International League Baltimore Orioles in 1914.
