A FINE LARGE MOULDED YAOZHOU ‘PEONY’ BOWL
NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (960-1127)
The bowl is moulded on the interior with six peonies growing from scrolling and entwined branches. It is carved to the exterior with vertical lines representing overlapping petals, covered overall with a sea-green glaze with the exception of the foot ring.
