Les sirènes ou naïades agenouillées dans une coquille qui ornent les présents candélabres sont à rapprocher de celles que l’on retrouve sur une paire de candélabres du Palais de Compiègne (Inv. GML 1288) dont la première mention remonte à un inventaire dressé en 1809 (cf. M .-F. Dupuy-Baylet, L’Heure, le Feu, la Lumière. Les bronzes du Mobilier National 1800-1870, Dijon, 2010, no. 65, p. 127).
