Two documents signed: "Nelson," addressed to Admiral Duckworth, Foudroyant, Naples Bay, 4 and 6 July 1799, folio, the first two pages, giving instructions for a court martial to be arranged for the trial of John Jolly, a private marine, for striking and threatening a lieutenant (integral leaf with annotation on verso); the second one page, explaining that certain officers will be unable to attend the court martial for John Jolly as they are besieging the castle of St. Elmo (integral leaf with annotation on verso).
