Campanario, Bual 1838
Madeira
Rebottled in 2018, new wax capsules with 'FMA' seal, one damaged. Stencilled bottles
Tasting note: Concentrated Indian spices, Havana cigars, some vintage furniture wax, clearly an extremely long cask aged style. Touch of rosehip.
Mouth filling rich with fine acidity on the back. Unctuous, banana style fruit, on the after taste a peacock’s tail of sweetness flows out on the palette followed by concentrated acidity. Great taste, love this great wine. This is the second Bual I have tasted from this 1838 vintage and both have left a strong impression. June 2017. Edwin Vos
