The Artist's Mother seated at a Table, looking right: three Quarter Length
etching, circa 1631, on laid paper, watermark Posthorn with pendant Letters HB (Hinterding A-a-b; dated circa 1632), a very fine impression of the second state (of three), with the delicate lines in her face and hands printing clearly and strongly, a touch of burr on the tip of the nose, with small margins

Edward Rudge (1763-1846), Abbey Manor, Evesham, Worcestershire, and London (see Lugt 900); then by descent to his great-grandson John Edward Rudge (1903-1970); Christie's, London 16-17 December 1924, lot 307 (£ 115.70; sold to Dunthorne).
