This Candle Apple Red Fender B-Bender was most recently used by Rodgers for songwriting in country music. A B-Bender enables a player to bend the B-string up a whole step. The resulting tone can be used to imitate a pedal steel guitar and provide that characteristic 'twang' often associated with country music. According to Rodgers: "I know this guitar well. I’ve used it on songs...as a matter of fact, the other day I was writing a country song for Keith Urban [with LeAnn Rimes]....We were writing together a few months ago and I wrote for her on the B-Bender. It was amazing, it was great."
