Probably painted by J.H. Usinger, the exterior with vignettes of figures on foot and on horseback by encampments and in park landscapes, the interior with figures with horses by a fountain and parkland temple

A similar box, with a JHU signature, is illustrated by Barbara Beaucamp-Markowsky, Boîtes en Porcelaine, des manufactures européennes au 18e siècle, Fribourg, 1985, p. 281, no. 228. Johann Heinrich Usinger (1745-1813) worked at Höchst between 1775 and 1784.
