Lot Essay

The crest is that of Gordon of Gordonstoun, presumably for Sir Robert Gordon 5th Bt. (d.1776), of Gordonstoun, who succeeded his father, Sir Robert Gordon 4th Bt. (1696-1772) on the latter's death in 1772.
