Lot Essay

With flashy clothes and a large moustache, this Racetrack Tout is a slick character. The bold use of paint and detailed carving help create this effect. Also known as “Dude” or “Sporting Dude,” the raised arm of this figure suggests he was once holding a cigar or was hawking bets or tickets.
