A CARVED AGATE SNUFF BOTTLE
OFFICIAL SCHOOL, 1750-1850
The bottle is skillfully carved using the dark and light inclusions, on one side with a sage greeting an attendant under a pine tree. The reverse is carved with a tethered horse looking back on vapor rising above.
2 1⁄4 in. (5.6 cm.) high, stopper
