A CARVED YELLOW GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
1880-1930
The bottle is carved on either side with a panel linked by ruyi emerging from rocks on either narrow side. One side is carved with a mythical beast, xiezhai, above two Buddhist lions guarding a flaming pearl, and the reverse is carved with a qilin standing on rocks looking up at a phoenix in flight. The base has an apocryphal Qianlong mark.
3 3⁄8 in. (8.3 cm.) high, pink tourmaline stopper
