JOSEON DYNASTY (LATE 19TH-EARLY 20TH CENTURY)
Carved with seven connected cylinders designed to hold brushes of different lengths, each cylinder carved with Longevity symbols of the Ten Signs of Long Life (Sipjangsaeng-do), the carved decoration stained and polished golden brown and the shallow recessed background areas and rims lacquered black
