Lot Essay

The Campro 35mm. combined camera and projector was shown at the Royal Photographic Society on 15 November 1927. According to Coe the camera 'offered the option of making the films on paper instead of celluloid, although the latter could be used. Perforated 35mm. paper rolls were used, and the prints on paper were shown by illuminating them with two lamps which attached to the front of the camera. The idea was novel, but the camera was not well made and did not prove to be a success commercially'
