Album containing forty-six hand-tinted albumen prints, each approx. 8 x 10 in., the majority numbered and titled in the negatives, tissue guards, red lacquer boards with black lacquer inset panel, mother-of-pearl and faux-ivory onlay depicting a bird perched on a flowering vine, g.e. oblong 4to.

Approx. half the images consist of views around Yokohoma including several street scenes, harbour scenes, the public gardens; views around Nikko, Kobe and Nagasaki and portrait studies of a samurai, a buddhist priest, geisha and a tattooed man.
