Marianne Roland Michel (1936-2004) lists seventeen miniatures by Vallayer-Coster (1744-1818) in her 1970 catalogue raisonné (M. Roland Michel, Anne Vallayer-Coster 1744-1818, Paris, 1970, pp. 79-80), most of them dating from the end of the artist's life. Our small bouquet with a stoneware vase, whose meticulousness and preciousness are characteristic of the genre, has been added to this corpus.

We would like to thank Fabrice Faré for confirming the attribution of this painting to Anne Vallayer-Coster on the basis of a photographic examination of the work.

Marianne Roland Michel (1936-2004) recense dix-sept miniatures de la main de Vallayer-Coster (1744-1818) dans son catalogue raisonné de 1970 (M. Roland Michel, Anne Vallayer-Coster 1744-1818, Paris, 1970, pp. 79-80), la plupart d'entre elles datant de la fin la vie de l'artiste. Notre petit bouquet au vase en grès, dont la minutie et la préciosité sont caractéristiques du genre, vient s'ajouter à ce corpus.
