Lot Essay

A native of Bologna, Aldrovrandini decorated numerous palaces and churches in Parma, Turin, Ferrara, Bologna and Genoa. His most prestigious cycle is that which he painted with Franceschini for the Council Room of the municipal palace in Genova, between 1702 and 1704.
