The above titles sold with: TURGENEV, Ivan (1818-1883). First Love. London: 1956. [With:] – A Month in the Country. London: 1981. (Two copies.) [And:] – First Love & A Fire at Sea. London: 1982. Together 8 volumes, octavo. All first editions thus (endpapers to First Love lightly spotted, otherwise all in very good condition). Publisher’s cloth, all except First Love and one copy of A Month in the Country with dustjackets (extremities faintly rubbed, some short splits and small tears to dustjacket of Vico and Herder, otherwise in very good condition). Provenance: Isaiah Berlin (authorial presentation inscriptions in all volumes to:) – The Countess of Avon.
