The present work relates closely to a unique bronze titled Hill-Rhythm (Reclining figure), 1952 and Water-Rhythm - Variation, 1953. Ben Whitworth refers to the 'strings' of bronze representing the flow of water' (B. Whitworth, The Sculpture of Leon Underwood, Much Hadham, 2000, p. 136).
