CHARMES-CHAMBERTIN
Adjacent to Mazoyères-Chambertin, Charmes-Chambertin is the second largest Grand Cru of the Côte de Nuits after Clos de Vougeot. The thin soils, scattered with pebbles, are made of hard limestone but sufficiently cracked for good drainage. The Pinot Noir here shows elegance, finesse and roundness, without forgetting its robustness. It is more pleasant in its youth than Chambertin in particular, with notes of violet and liquorish where vanilla or toasted nuances mingle.

Both Jeroboams were tasted in September 2022 by William Ponsot to ensure pristine quality, topped up and closed with a new cork and wax seal.
