Domaine Ponsot, Clos de la Roche Cuvée Vieilles Vignes 2005

All Jeroboams were tasted in September 2022 by William Ponsot to ensure pristine quality, topped up and closed with a new cork and wax seal.
Tasting note: The 2005 is an intensely concentrated wine. Nothing is lacking - the nose with its very ripe berry and spice nuances, the astonishing texture on the palate and the impressive length … It’s full of flavour with an extraordinary denseness - a finely-tuned wine. It is the ideal incorporation and quintessence of the grape variety – this is Pinot Noir in all its splendor! Alexandre Abel
Tasting note: Fresh sea breeze kind of flow over the initial nose, refined, small red cherries, elegant aromas. Subtle. On the taste starting to show a nice evolution, beetroot, mature tannins and the acidity on the finish is beautiful and lingering, giving the wine a finesse and elegance. Long after taste. Very good. Rich cherry fruit on the finish is nicely balancing the structure. Love this. Tasted during the jubilee tasting at the Domaine in June 2022. Edwin Vos
