Lot Essay

The collector was fond of the Japanese traditional tea ceremony, and started collecting tea ceremony utensils. Louis Vuitton team custom made a Damier trunk to store the tea ceremony objects. Choosing Damier canvas is to match with the Japanese traditional room. (??)
In 2010, former football player Hidetoshi Nakata was the director of Take Action Foundation, and together with Louis Vuitton, they organized a fundraising charity gala. The collector won a pair of black tea bowls made by Japanese artist Kyosuke Hayashi to complement the tea ceremony trunk.
