of mace form with domed screw cover and ball finial (finial slightly damaged), steel rasp and wire helix, the inside of the cover bearing full hallmarks, T.M., possibly Thomas Meriton, London 1800, the inside of the body with maker's mark and lion passant and additional French import marks on body and sheath - 4in. (10cm.)
