A 19th Century Thomason type double-action corkscrew
with turned bone handle and brush, the plain silver-plated barrel with brass badge engraved with inscription Johann Sewalder König Hofgeschmeid u Stahlarbeiter in München 1836, the threaded inner shaft with glued-steel colour remaining, wire helix, with an original tooled leather presentation box made to contain two companion pieces, missing.
