Recorked in 2022 by Francisco Albuquerque. New wax capsule with FMA seal. Varying bottle shapes. One bottle embossed with Goncalves and one with PF Heering. Stencilled bottles, two believed 1880. Levels: into-neck
Tasting note: Orange color, deep from concentration. Very inviting nose, sweet rich fruit, floral tones, lovely, a nose that keeps you coming back. You would almost forget to taste. Soft creamy taste, refined and very seductive. Great wine. All seductive soft sweet, peaches, fine acidity. Wauw! 20. The morning after from the bottle I presented during a master class in New York, only a half glass remaining but it showed so well: beautiful orange color. Nose of orange peel, zesty, concentrated, leather and old saddle wax aroma, sweet and lively. Fresh taste start, soft elegant mid then giving way to a gorgeously sweet finish followed by lingering fresh acidity over dried oranges fruit. Great wine. Last tasted December 2014. Edwin Vos
