With its flared feet, this candlestand was possibly made by Samuel Wing (1774-1854) of Sandwich, Massachusetts. For a similar example see Brock Jobe, Gary R. Sullivan and Jack O'Brien, Harbor & Home: Furniture of Southeastern Massachusetts, 1710-1850 (Lebanon, NH, 2009), p. 163, no. 54.
