A George II teapot
of bullet form, on a spreading foot and with a shell-fluted leaf-capped rising curved spout, polished wood double scroll handle and hinged cover engraved with crests and with ivory finial, the upper part of the body decorated with a broad frieze of arabesques extending into the cover, the underside scratch-engraved with initials, Charles Hatfield, London 1739 - 4½in. (11.50cm.), 15.25oz. gross.
