the complete artist's book comprising of 21 offset lithographs (five with hand-coloring in watercolor), fifteen on gold paper and six on wove paper, 1957, signed and dedicated in ink 'to Boys Filles (flo) friuts and flowers Shoes and t c [Ted Carey] and e.W. [Ed Wallowitch]', numbered 29 from the edition of 100, published by the artist, New York, with an additional offset lithograph on gold paper (see Feldman & Schellmann IV.115) originally pasted to the cover (detached), bound (as issued), the full sheets, in generally good condition, with the original buckram boards
Overall: 14 1/2 x 11 5/8 in. (368 x 295 mm.)

Lot Essay

This book was given to the artist by Bradbury Thompson, who commissioned illustration work from Warhol for Mademoiselle magazine. Thompson was the art director for Mademoiselle from 1945 to 1959 and ARTnews from 1945 to 1970.
