141ème Édition. Base harvest 1985 vintage. Disgorged in 1995. In two three-magnum wine stained re-packed original cartons. Original tissues. Good appearance. Levels: into-foil
Tasting note: On opening a loud pop of the cork signifying this magnum is still in good condition. Bright amber coloured with golden tints. Fantastically complex evolved nose with prominent gingerbread and brioche aromatics intermingled with grilled hazelnuts, hints of mocha, honey, caramel, and toffee nuances. On the palate a very delicate fine mousse with creamy textured mouthfeel, the fizz dissipated relatively quickly with time in glass. Vibrant and refreshing with flavours of apricots, dried bitter Seville orange character with marzipan and almond nuances on the long lingering finish. A delicious and complex fully mature Krug Grande Cuvee from magnum. Drink now-2030. Tasted 23 February 2023.Tim Triptree MW
