The presence of ‘giant arm’s braces’ substitute the need for the more commonly seen humpback stretchers. Compare to a similar table formerly in the Grace Wu’s collection, illustrated in Sublime and Divine, Chinese Ming Furniture, Hong Kong, 2014, pp.88-91, later sold at Guardian Beijing, 17 May 2014, lot 4413.
