PROBABLY GERMANY, CIRCA 1760, WITH VIENNA CONTROL MARK FOR IMPORTED ITEM IN USE FROM 1872 TO 1901
Shaped as a parrot sitting on a pedestal set with diamonds, rubies and emeralds, the finely chased body with detachable head with ruby eyes and a hollow body to be used as a scent bottle, the pedestal chased with scrolls and foliage with double-opening, one compartment for powder, with a detachable spoon, the second compartment cover set with a mirror, with a later fitted green leather case
