Cartouche shaped, the cover set with alternating panels of carnelian and gold chased with flower sprays, framed by silver-mounted diamonds, the centre set with a translucent moss agate medallion, within reeded gold mounts, the sides chased with alternating reserves of flower garlands on sablé ground and polished gold, the gold underside with alternating panels of trelliswork and polished gold, marked on flange
