Rare set of prints depicting Irish linen manufacture in its transformative moment as it evolved from cottage industry to mechanized mills as the industrial revolution gathered pace. Abbey Life 444; Bobins V, 1566.

Oblong folio (365 x 520mm). 12 contemporary hand-coloured stipple engravings with etching, on wove paper with watermark of 'Whatman 1808' and 'Edmeads & Co. 1809' (some very short marginal repaired tears, plate 9 with tiny split along plate mark due to paper flaw, plates 1 and 11 with faint creasing); Modern purple cloth.
