First edition and first US edition, each signed and inscribed by Louis Armstrong. Swing that Music inscribed in green ink on the half-title 'Best wishes from Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong'; Satchmo similarly signed in blue ink with full name and sobriquet.
Two volumes, octavo. Swing that Music with introduction by Rudy Vallee, portrait frontispiece, 11 additional plates and 10 folding score sheets. Original red cloth gilt and dust-jacket. Satchmo with 16 plates and pictorial endpapers. Original cloth backed paper boards (slight tape stains to board edges) and dust-jacket (slight toning and rubbing, a couple of small tape marks and closed tears to flaps).
