A late 19th Century electric powered model of a single screw passenger ship of circa 1890 with masts and rigging and deck details including windlass, deck rails, companionways, mahogany passenger accomodation with 'glazed' portholes and scribed panels, ventilators, two stayed funnels, lockers, engine room lights, four lifeboats with thwarts in davits, hatches and ship's wheel. The hull, carved from yellow pine, is fitted with an early electric motor to single shaft and three blade propellor, speed control switch and rudder, finished in grey, black and varnish -- 14 x 39½in.
