McKay with masts, aerials, derricks and rigging, anchor, 'D' chains, winches, fairleads, bollards, deck winches, hatches, deck rails, companionways, superstructure with bridge and open bridge over with radar and D.F. aerials, binnacle, wing bridges, passenger accomodation, funnel, engine room lights, deck chairs, chairs and tables, two swimming pools, fourteen lifeboats with bottom boards thwarts and oars and two motor boats in davits, and two in the 'water' with decks planked in walnut, the plated hull, many other details, finished in P&O livery, and with the Shell tanker 'Luboil 2' alongside delivering lubricating oil, in itself a detailed model, all mounted on a painted moulded seascape in a mahogany framed perspex display case -- 16½ x 50¼in. S.S. Arcadia was built by John Brown & Co Ltd. Clydebank 1954 for P & O and was sold for scrapping in 1979.
